Balanced meals alongside specialist care.

Online nutrition guidance
Nutrition with lipedema
For your needs and medical care
Lipedema differs from obesity and lymphoedema. After a medical diagnosis, nutrition guidance helps organise balanced meals and manage coexisting excess weight where appropriate. Online support serves Qatar and the Gulf alongside specialist care; it does not promise to remove lipedema fat or treat swelling through food.
This follow-up may suit you if:
- You have a medical diagnosis of lipedema or lymphoedema.
- You want realistic weight goals based on your diagnosis.
- You need food guidance alongside medical assessment of swelling or heaviness.
- A specialist is assessing pain and bruising and you want meal support.
- You want balanced meals after repeated restrictive diets.
- You need a practical plan that complements specialist recommendations.
Pain, bruising and swelling are not enough for diagnosis. See a specialist to establish the cause first. Sudden swelling or breathlessness needs prompt medical care.

Nutrition alongside specialist care
What do we review?
- Food quality and variety: Plan varied vegetables, protein and suitable fats while reviewing highly processed foods, without claiming to cure inflammation or lipedema.
- Everyday sodium sources: Review salt in ready meals, sauces and packaged food, according to your medical recommendations.
- Fluids for your individual needs: Discuss fluids within any medical limits. Extra water is not a treatment for oedema.
- Protein appropriate for your health: Balance protein sources and portions with your requirements and any coexisting dietary restrictions.
- Goals beyond the scale: Consider diet quality, muscle preservation and appropriate movement rather than expecting a diet to remove lipedema fat.
- Variety and digestive tolerance: Review fibre and meal tolerance, with persistent symptoms referred for medical assessment.
- Following your specialist’s recommendations: Guidance respects prescribed compression, physiotherapy or other treatment. The nutrition program does not prescribe these therapies.
- Reviewing progress realistically: Review meal habits and weight when appropriate, while leaving assessment of swelling and pain with your specialist.
What your follow-up includes

Choosing a follow-up duration: Longer follow-up allows more nutrition reviews. We do not guarantee less swelling, pain or a change in body shape within a particular timeframe.
Scope of nutrition guidance: This is nutrition guidance after a lipedema or lymphoedema diagnosis. It does not treat either condition or replace specialist care, and dieting does not guarantee removal of lipedema fat.
